When purpose sets the pace

At Metropolitana, we believe that post-production is much more than just one stage in the audiovisual process. It is the moment when a story finds its definitive form. And, sometimes, its true significance.
Our participation in the short film for the PorqueViven foundation has been one of those projects that transcend the strictly professional. From the outset, we knew that this was not a conventional campaign. Pediatric palliative care is probably one of the most complex areas that communication can tackle. It requires sensitivity, honesty, and a deep respect for the families and children they accompany.
The project was born from a clear reflection: “No one wants to help a cause that has no solution.” From there, the agency and the creative team built a story capable of facing that truth without shying away from it, inviting reflection through humanity and sensitivity. The involvement of all the professionals was extraordinary. The original music, composed by Fernando Velázquez and performed together with the Euskadiko Orkestra, added an essential emotional dimension. The voices of Paco León and José Coronado brought the characters to life with a sensitivity that elevated the piece.
When the edit arrived, the scope of post-production was greater than initially anticipated. The decision was immediate: to approach the project with the dedication it deserved. Our team worked on each shot with the aim of supporting the narrative with technical precision and aesthetic consistency, paying close attention to atmospheres, integrations, and finishes so that nothing interfered with what was truly important: the message.
In projects like this, post-production plays a silent but decisive role. It is not about standing out, but about supporting. About reinforcing emotion without overemphasizing it. About ensuring that every technical decision serves the story.
For Metropolitana, being part of this initiative has reaffirmed our commitment to stories that matter. Because when the purpose is clear, the craft takes on even greater meaning.
If this piece helps more people learn about the work of PorqueViven and support their efforts, it will have achieved its goal.
