Mala Bèstia: Metropolitana gets into feature films

March 6, 2026

The feature film Mala Bèstia, directed by Bàrbara Farré with cinematography by Lucas Casanovas, will premiere on March 10 at the 29th edition of the Malaga Film Festival. The film tells the story of Atenea, a young girl who lives in a boarding school and faces a possible change in her life when a couple considers taking her in. Based on this premise, the story addresses the process of adaptation, emotional bonds, and the emotional tensions arising from a new opportunity for stability.

Metropolitana participated in this project, responsible for the color grading of the feature film, which defined the color correction and treatment, helping to consolidate the aesthetic proposal put forward by the director and director of photography.

With its presence at the Malaga Film Festival, the feature film begins its public journey, and Metropolitana consolidates its track record by accompanying productions that are committed to auteur cinema and a solid visual proposal. Post-production, understood as a strategic and not merely technical phase, is thus confirmed as a key element in the construction of contemporary cinematic language.
